The 2x2 is the Rubik's cube people underestimate. Fewer squares, yes, but still 3,674,160 possible arrangements to work through, and the corner logic catches out plenty of solvers who can already handle a 3x3.

This mini version uses the updated turning mechanism, so faces rotate quickly and the cube does not lock up mid solve. It fits in a coat pocket, which is really where it belongs.
