Pokemon TCG 2026 release dates

2026 is the big one for Pokemon. Thirty years since the game launched in Japan in October 1996, and The Pokemon Company is going all in with the Mega Evolution era and an anniversary set that breaks new ground.

17 July 2026	Mega Evolution: Pitch Black	English adaptation of Japan's Abyss Eye set. Mega Darkrai ex is the headline card, alongside Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex. Pre-release events run 4 to 12 July.
Aug/Sep 2026 (expected)	Storm Emerald	Features Mega Rayquaza ex. Based on Japan's Storm Emeralda set (released 31 July JP). Rayquaza cards consistently command premium prices, so this is shaping up as one of the most chased sets of the year.
18 September 2026	30th Celebration Set	The headliner. All-foil cards, six-card booster packs, a brand-new rarity type, and the first ever worldwide simultaneous launch of a Pokemon TCG set. A Premium Deck Set with Espeon and Umbreon drops the same day.
October 2026	Nine 30th Celebration Card Sets	One set per Pokemon generation. Nine total. Anniversary collectors should clear shelf space now.

One Piece Card Game 2026

Bandai's One Piece game has hit serious momentum. From 2026, English and Japanese sets launch the same day, which kills the secondary market arbitrage but makes pre-orders easier for UK buyers.

Disney Lorcana 2026

Lorcana's third full year. Ravensburger is widening the Disney roster: the first Pixar characters arrived mid-year with Wilds Unknown, and two more sets follow before Christmas, plus collector's guides for the deeper hobbyists.

Magic: The Gathering 2026

Wizards is leaning hard into Universes Beyond crossovers in 2026. Seven major sets plus Commander precons running alongside. TMNT and Strixhaven are already out (see the earlier-in-2026 section below); here's what remains.

Fantasy Flight's Star Wars TCG continues to expand. Sets drop quarterly. Older sets stay legal in Standard, which makes collecting feel less punishing than other games.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 2026

Riot's first official TCG. The UK community is growing fast, and Set 3 landed in May with strong demand.

If a set is hot, we cap quantities per customer to keep it fair. That's the policy. We've watched too many scalp-driven launches blow up in customer faces.
