The Lim-5 fighter plane was a Soviet license Mikoyan MiG-17F built by the Polish aviation industry. The production of LIM aircraft resulted in a significant development of the aviation industry in Poland. The Lim-5 planes were equipped with the WK-1F engine, also produced under license. 120 Lim-5 and 40 Lim-5P aircraft were delivered to the German Democratic Republic. East German aviation ordered parts from Poland for the needs of repairs, modernization and modification of the aircraft, as well. LIM-5 served in the German Air Force from 1958 to 1985. The model aircraft LIM-5 (MIG-17F) was designed in a scale of 1:32 and consists of 575 high-quality elements. All markings, emblems and inscriptions on the model are prints that do not wear off during use.
