A Sindar Elf, Legolas Greenleaf is the son of the Elven King Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood. His age was never revealed by Tolkien 
but was estimated between 500 and 3000 years old, which isn’t uncommon among elves. Legolas became a big friend of the dwarf Gimli, despite the great enmity between two races.
