This album showcases David Gilmour’s stellar concert at the Stabler Arena, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on 12 July 1984, during the About Face Tour.
The first member of Pink Floyd to release a solo album, Gilmour’s self-titled 1978 debut was met with largely positive reviews, reaching No. 17 on the UK album chart. Fast forward six years, and it was time for Gilmour’s second solo album, the highly regarded, About Face. Released on 5 March 1984, the album featured a sublime roster of musicians which included Steve Winwood, Jeff Porcaro, Anne Dudley, Jon Lord and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with Pete Townsend also contributing lyrics to two cuts.
Within a month of its release, Gilmour set out on the road in support of the album – a jaunt which lasted from 31 March to 16 July 1984, covering the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.
Featured here, are stunning renditions of the Pink Floyd classics Comfortably Numb, Money and Run Like Hell, alongside Gilmour solo numbers such as Until We Sleep, All Lovers Are Deranged, Love On the Air and more.
