Who is Daredevil? The story of the hero Daredevil began with his father, Jack Murdock, a boxer who raised his son alone, claiming that Matt Murdock's mother had died. Jack wanted him to be more successful and pushed Matt to constantly study rather than play sports with other kids. This led the neighborhood kids to bully the cowardly Matt, who took out his frustrations by secretly training at his father's gym. One day, Matt saw a blind man walking toward an oncoming truck. Matt pushed the man out of the way. The truck crashed, and a radioactive isotope spilled, hitting Matt in the face and leaving him blind. While recovering in the hospital, Matt discovered that his hearing, smell, taste, and touch were amplified to superhuman levels. He also developed a "radar sense" that formed a mental image of his surroundings. A few months later, Matt received training from the ninja master Stick, with whom he learned to control his new abilities and mastered acrobatics and martial arts. After refusing to throw a fight, Jack Murdock was killed by thugs of a corrupt fight promoter, leading the now orphaned Matt to hunt down his father's killers and punish them severely. Matt graduated from law school and landed a job at a large law firm. He returned to Hell's Kitchen, where he reunited with his friend Foggy Nelson, with whom he later opened the law firm Nelson and Murdock. Matt fashioned a costume, initially from his father's old boxing robes, and continued to fight crime as Daredevil.
Exploring the Daredevil statue: With the remains of a statue, a symbol of justice, shattered at his feet, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Midtown Manhattan, balances crouched on the handguard of the sword of his moral guide, next to her fallen scale of the iconic image. Wearing his unmistakable red suit, with his forearms and wrists wrapped in white bands, he wields his multi-purpose weapon in the form of two batons connected by an extendable cable, as if about to launch one of the parts. This is a more tactical version of his combat costume, with small pouches attached to his belt on his back and holsters for his batons on his right thigh. Although blind, he knows exactly the location, size, and distance of everything around him thanks to his natural radar.
